Teen Counseling & Family Therapy
I love working with teens and young adults—there’s something incredibly powerful about this stage of life. It’s a time when the brain is more open to change than at any other point in our lives. That heightened neuroplasticity makes adolescence a rare window of opportunity to intentionally shape emotional regulation, decision-making, and long-term habits. With the right guidance, this can be a period of profound and lasting growth.
Teens are not only developing new cognitive and emotional capacities—they're also redefining who they are and how they relate to the world around them. My approach to counseling is designed to help them engage this process with intention, curiosity, and clarity.
Family relationships are central to that growth. Adolescence and young adulthood also bring inevitable shifts in family dynamics—especially as teens seek more independence, freedom, and responsibility. These changes often reshape the parenting relationship in meaningful ways. In family therapy, I strive to create a space where these transitions can be explored openly and proactively. Together, we can name what’s changing, address unspoken tensions, and collaboratively architect a new framework for connection, communication, and support. This is not just about managing today’s challenges; it’s about building a family structure that supports growth on all sides—for the teen, the parents, and the system as a whole.
